Playing the Long Game with Par Three Courses

The Cradle at Pinehurst represents an example of how the short game can potentially provide long-term support for the game. The par-3 course is just 789 yards, and along with other short courses and holes like it, The Cradle creates short-game challenges for experienced golfers while providing a less daunting challenge for less-skilled players. Other short holes and courses include Jordan Speith’s six-hole course at the University of Texas, and the 78-yard 15th hole at Los Angeles Country Club North. Golf Digest
