Modern Turf / Mini Verde Greens on Display at Tour Championship

Modern Turf would like to invite you to watch the Tour Championship, the final leg of the Fed Ex Cup @ the prestigious East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta, Georgia with the opening round starting Thursday, September 20, 2011. Along with Rick Burton, President and GM of East Lake, and Ralph Kepple, Certified Golf Course Superintendent, Modern Turf proudly presents MiniVerde Ultradwarf, the chosen putting grass to host the top 30 PGA players of 2011.
After consulting with the PGA Tour, East Lake Golf Club converted their greens in 2008 to MiniVerde due to its ability to thrive in extreme heat while providing a quality, consistent putting surface that members and tour players enjoy alike. MiniVerde requires less aeration than bentgrass while providing golfers with a fast and firm surface throughout the year. Modern Turf and MiniVerde have been the answer to more than a hundred golf courses from Tennessee to the coastal Carolinas. Rick Burton – “It’s the best decision we ever made!”
